I am 52 but age isn't a big deal to me, yet. I'm happily married to a great guy and have two kids in their 20's. I deal with depression and anxiety. I'm lonely, having moved a couple of years ago, and an introvert, so friends are few. My hobbies include writing, gardening, golf, reading, and travel. I'm not working currently.

I love both of the songs that you posted on the "theme song" thread..I saw Sherly Crowe in concert with James Taylor last summer..she was amazing.... and Josh Groban..his voice is so soothing! Thanks for reminding me of these two awesome songs! Have a good weekend! xx
Thank you Patty for your very kind prayer for me. It means a great deal to me to have your friendship.
Have fun at your Tuxedo do tonight. Hope it all goes well :) Mark
Yipeee, a cool change is on it's way. 28C on Monday so it will seem like winter again. Up to the 30's again during the week, but cooling down to the 20's again late in the week for the weekend. The evap cooler has made a difference thank goodness.
thinking of you and wanted to wish you a wonderful weekend!!
I've dealt with depression for 20+ years, and when the medication is right, I do well. Recently, though, we tweaked something and it didn't work so the depression hit hard. I grew up in a home with domestic violence and neglect. The depression really didn't hit until I had children of my own and began to have flashbacks. I've been on many medications over the years, but once I get back on track this time, my current cocktail seems to work very well.
First being diagnosed with chronic depression, these past few years of severe stress have brought on the anxiety big time.
I want to understand my 20-something daughter who is diag. with ADD.
My daughter deals with OCD and it is finally causing real heartache for her. She is 24 and lives at home. She has had a potential boyfriend but now that they are more serious, she finds she can't deal with the physical touch--hugging, holding hands, etc. She is germaphobic and very sensitive to clothing, smells, etc. I think she is willing to see a therapist again. I am looking for support and information.
