Close Epilepsy & Seizures
trying to find some emotional support as well as helpful information on how to help my son deal with his seizures.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- worked for awhile but that was just the rx prescribed at the ER. My sons is currently taking Lamotrigine and Depakote.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- My son is taking 1000 mg of this med but it doesn't seem to work as well or maybe because my son spends too much of his energy during rehearsals
- Dilantin Working / Worked
- worked but is causing problems with my son's memory- he seems to have problems with short term memory. Also causes mood swings and it makes him very irritable.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- currently taking. doctors say, he has to keep taking it because it has to build in his body. he just started taking it on Mon 9/20. yesterday he had 2 seizures. One of them while in resuscitation unit.
