Close Bipolar Disorder
I am in an isolated area (due to lack of public transp.) and currently flat broke and so can't access the regular system, so I need to connect with other folks to stay centered, and support when I'm in crisis mode.
Treatments
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- the smallest dosage was not enough, but when given the next highest, went manic, so doc said to taper & go off until next assess.
- Depakote Somewhat Helpful
- Taking 500mg, but no more becuase it causes drastic water retention and BP rise.
- Holistic Health Somewhat Helpful
- Tried herbal therapies for lack of sleep and anxiety. it only worked at 20% of the time.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- worked until I couldn't get the med anymore (I was on a free med program and the switch from one free clinic to another resulted in stoppage because each clinic had different requirements, etc.)

- Gets me away from living in the dark places in my head.
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- have done Adults Molested as Children, twelve-steps, and role-play.
- Music Working / Worked
- Music SAVED my life, and is my therapy evry single day. I don't know what I'd do w/o it.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Talking helps, but it's like going to work every day. The business never gets finished.
- \"The Courage To Heal\" Somewhat Helpful
- read it, try to follow the tenets, but, it is hollow for me w/o family support.
- Inderal Considering
- Have heard that Inderal a blood pressure med can take away the more painful aspects of the memories of the events. would like to try it. Right now my emotional pain is so much I can hardly bear a day of being awake.
