Close Myasthenia Gravis
I was diagnosed Sept. 1999 at the age of 16 yrs. old. I've had MG for ten years this month! I want to celebrate that i am doing very well with this disease, and i am in remission. Have alot of faith that you too can be in remission one day.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- I was on this medication many years before for the MG. It slowly started to work and i had gotten off of it but i am recently on it again because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis.
- IVIG Working / Worked
- I got this done a couple of times when i wasn't doing so well and i showed improvement but i was also taking the imuran.
- Mestinon Working / Worked
- I was put on this med since i was diagnosed i was on a very high dose i now only take two times a day 120mg.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I have been on this med since the year 2000. I was on a very high dose but i only now take 10mg once a day.
- Thymectomy Working / Worked
- I had a real bad thymus tumor the size of a soft ball i was told i got my thymus removed the same month i was diagnosed Sept. 1999.10 years ago!
Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I was diagnosed in 2002. Lately I've been in alot of pain. I recently got a new Rheumatalogist and he is doing alot of testing. I will be starting a new med i am not sure which one yet.

- Folic Acid Considering
- I know i should be taking this already!
- Hydroxychloroquine Working / Worked
- i can't live with out my naproxen!
- Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
- I been taking this for quit a few years now. I did see a difference from when i was diagnosed.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I take this med for my RA and my MG. This is a bad guy but it helps me so much with both my illnesses.
