OH YAY~~~ I am sooo happy for you, what is his name? Yes, I pray that you stay healthy! It would be hard to be sick, right after giving birth, and not getting to put your full attention on your lil angel! I am slowly recovering, just praying for this UC to go away, and really not wanting to have to set an appt for an colonoscopy which I know is in my near future :-(

  • UCKelsey (10/23/09)

Hey there! Life has been a bit rough, have been sick for like 2 weeks ready for it to go away.. how is life for you?

I've been feeling better than i did the last trimester of my pregnancy. As soon as I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, and adjusted my diet to control that, I started having bleeding and mucus every time I went to the bathroom. I don't know if that was coincidence or if they were directly related. Anyway, since my little girl was born I have been feeling pretty good! One of the GI's I was seeing before I got pregnant told me that he fully expected me to have a severe flare up right after having my baby and I was really worried about that too, but it didn't happen to me. At least not yet and it's been about 16 days now. I think I'm probably in the clear for a postpartum relate flare. Hopefully things will stay at bay and I won't have to worry about the disease again for a while!!! I hope that you will have the same luck I did in feeling pretty darn good for having UC AND delivering a baby! :-)

It's not too long ago (just a couple weeks actually) that I was right where you are... 38 weeks pregnant and ready to be done. I started effacing and dilating at 36 weeks so I was pretty anxious to get the labor and delivery started and over with pretty quickly after that. My little girl got here 4 days before she was due, her birthday is Oct 6 and she's now just 11 days old! It's great having her here with us finally! I have my fingers crossed for you and pray you have a quick and trouble free delivery like I did!! Congrats!!
