Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI was diagnosed with Asthma over 20 years ago
Treatments
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- Do not need to use this very often. Only if my Asthma gets out of control. Side effects mild cramp.
- QVAR Working / Worked
- Have been using this preventative for over 20 years to keep my Asthma under control. 2 puffs twice daily. No side effects for me.
- Serevent Working / Worked
- Have used this treatment for many years and helps to keep my Asthma under control. 2 puffs twice daily. No side effects for me.
Close Osteoporosis
I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in July 2009
Treatments
- Actonel Too Soon to Tell
- Recently started daily dosage of this medication.
- Calcium Not Working
- Unable to tolerate Calcichew because of severe abdominal pains & constipation. I'm currently changing my diet to increase Calcium & Vitamin D3 intake.
- Dietary Modification Too Soon to Tell
- Have introduced Calcium and Vitamin D rich foods into my already healthy diet. Including Sardines Salmon Almonds Sesami products Spinnach Kale Broccoli Watercress Dried Apricots Prunes Yoghurt Dairylea Cheese spread some hard cheese.
- Fosamax Not Working
- Was not able to tolerate side effects of this medication. Severe stomach pains, diahorrea & sickness.
- Physical Exercise Too Soon to Tell
- Brisk walking for about 20 minutes at least three times a week. Dancing at weekends. Swimming & hydrotherapy exercises twice a week.
Open Migraine Headaches
I have been a Migraine sufferer for many years. Before treatment I was getting about 2 to 3 Migraines a week now I get about 1 to 2 a month.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Not Working
- I have tried Acupuncture but didn't work for my Migraines. I became over sensitive to the treatment and developed a massive flare of my Arthritis. Treatment stopped after 2 out of 4 sessions.
- Caffeine Working / Worked
- Dihydrocodeine Working / Worked
- Take Co-dydramol for pain relief. Side effects - constipation.
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- Used Imigran many years ago and it worked well. No side effects for me.
- Pizotifen Working / Worked
- Have been taking Pizotifen a migraine preventative for about 5 years now and this has reduced my Migraines from about 2 to 3 a week to about 1 or 2 a month. Take one 1.5mg tablet nightly.
Open Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have been diagnosed with Palindromic Rheumatism/Palindromic Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Treatments
- Dihydrocodeine Working / Worked
- Take Co-dydramol for pain relief. Side effects - constipation.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Brisk walking for about 20 minutes at least three times a week. Dancing at weekends. Swimming & hydrotherapy exercises twice a week.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- I've been taking Hydroxychloroquine for 2 years,dosage of 300mgs daily. So far is working well for me. Side effects hairloss, headaches, nausea & itchy skin. All side effects were temporary and subsided within a few weeks.
- Vioxx Working / Worked
- Worked well for me. No side effects. Started on 12.5mg then increased to 25mg daily. Vioxx was withdrawn about 5 years ago.
- Voltaren Not Working
- I was severely allergic to Diclofenac causing Anaphalaxis
