About Me
I am a mother of two boys. My son David who is 20 and is a fulltime college student persuing a degree in Film/Theater and my son Nicholas 16 who is now a Junior in High School. I have suffered from depression off and on for years but just recently discovered its creeping up on me more and more through tragedies. I have also developed major anxeity and panick attacks as well. They are very new and scary but I am trying to deal with them the best I can. Our family lost my Aunt to murder on Dec 23, 2006, my oldest Big Brother in a fatal car accident on Dec 15, 2008, and my Dad has been ill with his Diabetes type 2 off and on since early Jan 07 (dont know what it is about our family and Dec!), he also had a stroke in May of 2009. I am a fulltime caregiver to my Dad and I am very involved with my family. I am here to make some new friends who understand what I am going through, share, and create a support system. I have had far too many struggles and I am still struggling trying to endure keep going the past few years have been hard and I hope to find some new avenues of support and be a support in return. =)

Umm....Did I fail to mention SHOES! lol...No, I have many others as well such as Music, School (currently attending school to earn a BS in Healthcare Adminstration), Photography, Dancing, Movies, Reading, .....I'm sure many more that I am forgetting....

Open Caring For Aging Parents
Caring for my dad (70)since his vision has been impaired (declared legally blind)from his Diabetes. He also had a stroke in May of 2009. I am one of 7. We range in ages of 48-17. However, since my oldest brother past away in a fatal car accident on Dec 15, 2008 I am the only mature sibling left able to help. So I have commited to care for him fulltime.

Open Breakups & Divorce
Fiance just broke it off officially tonight 1028. I am heartbroken. It will take a very longtime to recover from my heartache. I am devastated! =(
Open Bipolar Disorder
Well I have been in attending therapy since March of 09. I have a shrink and a counseling therapist. I was just told yesterday 11/05/09 that I have been officially diagnosed with Bi Polar Type 2..I dont know much about it but would like to learn how to deal with it. Hoping to befriend others that are dealing with it also. =)

- Just started it last night 11/05/09 - I take 1 a day (before bed) 25 mg's

Open Empty Nests
So my therapist seems to think that I am in the beginning stages of Empty Nest....My youngest will be 17 in April and my oldest will be 21 in July....I am not really sure if I am entering that phase but I guess she may be on to something...hmmm...
