Close Myasthenia Gravis
For support with my MG. Was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago. Had thymectomy June of 08. Was doing fine until May of 09 then everything went downhill from there.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Don't really see any difference
- IVIG Not Working
- Worked in the begining but does not seem to be working now.
- Mestinon Not Working
- not working at all. in fact it makes my symptomes worse.
- Thymectomy Somewhat Helpful
- Had a terrible experience with this. In short they had to do the surgery twice. Not fun at all
Close Epilepsy & Seizures
I have had a seizure disorder since 1975. Went from 1992 to 2007 without having any seizures. Doc. had weened me off dilantin in late 2006 and I was doing fine. In 2007 I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis and then seizures cam back. Wanting to talk to people who are experiencing the same as I.
Treatments
- Dilantin Working / Worked
- Was on it for 30 years. Worked good but caused me to have osteoperosis. Went off in 2006 after 15 years of no seizures. Doc thought is was doing more harm than good. July of 2007 seizures came back after being Dx with Myasthenia Gravis. Went on Keppra.
- Keppra Working / Worked
- Seems to be working ok but does affect my myasthenia Gravis.
