About Me
I am 15 years old and struggling to make it through everyday life. I have been diagnosed with the conditions Ankylosing Spondylitis, Saccriolitis, Fibromyalgia, Depression, Hypermobility, and Endrometriosis. I am currently going through testing to see if i have a thyroid disorder, lupus, and other types of auto immune disorders.

I know what you mean... I thought I was the only one for the longest time and you can't really talk to one group about the other issues... They just don't understand even though fms and si go hand in hand for me... There are couple of us here on ds that I've found- you're not alone

Close Ankylosing Spondylitis
I have had symptoms of AS for 5 years now. I was just diagnosed in January
Treatments
- Humira Somewhat Helpful
- It helped with the symptoms a lot. I was able to move more and I wasn't as sick all the time. But i had to come off of it because of the new black box warning for cancer.
Close Self-Injury
Since I was about 8 years old, I've delt with severe depression issues and I started cutting myself when I was 10. I've been working on not cutting anymore, but I began to find other ways of releasing the pain. I pull on my hair as hard as I can and I give myself piercings.
Treatments
- Rubber Bands Working / Worked
- The snapping on my wrist makes it easier to cope with the "need" to cut. It doesn't feel as good, but it distracts me from the thoughts.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes I feel like no body knows what I'm going through. It is hard to go through life being sick already, but on top of it, my depression gives me no way out and I feel like an alien to everyone else. But talking about my problems gives me a sense of relief.
- Tattoos Working / Worked
- Though I don't have any yet, I've become obsesses with body mods and I have many tattoo ideas in mind for making it through my life. The thought that I will have them someday comforts me.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- If it werent for my anti depressants I wouldnt be here right now. Enough said. The only bad thing about them is that I yawn a lot and when i miss a few pills I feel very sick

I am bisexual and I am afraid to come out to my family about it. I've liked boys my whole life, but since 1st grade, I became interested in girls and ever since, i've been scared of myself
Open Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in January of 2009, and I need help on what to do.
Treatments
- Lyrica Not Working
- This medicine is brutal if you cannot take it. I personally had seizures from it, but before i reacted so negatively, my symptoms completely went away.
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- This more relaxed me than anything. I have my own little TENS unit at home, and its nice to pull it out when i need to relax.
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- These help with the muscle spasms I have from my Fibro and my other conditions.
