Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis

I would love to be a part of a group with people such as myself that have been dealing with crohn's or colitis. It is very hard for others to relate to this disease, therefore I am excited to find this forum!

Treatments

Asacol Not Working

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful

Azathioprine Working / Worked

worked for a short time just like most of the drugs I have been on

Azulfidine Working / Worked

worked for a short time

Flagyl Not Working

Took for a short time but it did not work

Methotrexate Working / Worked

Started on injections; stopped working - doctor took me off of the injections which I took solely with azathioprine as it was no longer effective. Now I take a very low dose along with my humira; doctor wants to wean me off of this at some point.

Prednisone Somewhat Helpful

worked in the beginning; needed to steadily increase until I was on a dangerous level

Probiotics Too Soon to Tell

currently taking on a daily basis

Remicade Working / Worked

It actually worked very well for me although my doctor took me off of it when I started having blurred vision

Humira Working / Worked

I have been on Humira injections now for about a year and 12. They seem to be working although I am having several new symptoms at this point.
