I'm doing ok. I can feel the chemo cycles starting to build up. I was warned that each sesion makes things get more intense, and they where telling the truth! Trying to juggle that and work and my son now is a pure test of strength! I love your qoute, cause wow do I wish that was true right now!!! Sleep is such an amazing thing! I hope your feeling good. Have you been able to excersize yet? I hope so, I'm sure that'd make you feel good, getting you back into some normalcy. I hope your having a great weekend so far!

Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Diagnosed with acute DVT on September 11 (after walking around with for at least a week already!) I thought I had a sciatic nerve until my leg ballooned up like a giant sausage! Underwent surgery when the clotted vein (pelvis to knee) started compressing arteries in the leg. Surgery was the best thing that happened to me on this.
Treatments
- Ambien Somewhat Helpful
- Yeah, it will get you to sleep quickly but for me it only lasts 4 hours. I'm going to quit taking it and see what happens. I considered asking for the Ambien CR but I don't like the fact that Ambien itself is addictive.
- Codeine Somewhat Helpful
- Makes me sleepy when I'm stuck in the only comfortable position for the leg. Highly addictive when combined with other opiates. I had withdrawl symptoms (nausea, headaches) for at least a week after stopping. I was also taking Percocet with this and on a morphine drip for a week prior.
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Get a little headachey and nauseated with it. I'm having a lot of trouble getting my PT/INR and dosing straight.
- Heparin Working / Worked
- Was on a heparin drip while in hospital. Got my INR stupid high. Had to get plasma before surgery.
- Lovenox Working / Worked
- Never could get up the courage to shoot myself. Fortunately I was only doing it for a week. INR levels got where they needed to be quick.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Takes 3-4 325 mg tablets to get there but it will do the trick to make the only comfortable sleeping position workable. Withdrawls were a HUGE problem. Don't take any kind of opiates for too long!
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Cleared up the clot and got rid of the pain fast. Needed it do to clot compressing an artery.

Open Dizziness & Vertigo
I've had two episodes of fairly significant imbalance, both times feeling like falling to left, and recently vertigo (spins) that lasted several hours. I need to learn!
