"Went to get an application for WIC. That was very hard. A tiny baby was there. I had tears in my eyes the whole time."

Another pregnancy update. Mood
Tuesday, November 10, 2009

I went to the doctor's office yesterday. She said I'm about 3 weeks pregnant, so I caught it waaaaay before I did with Adreanna. With Adreanna I had no signs until I was 3 months, then I had to wait another 2 months to get on Medicaid. So I was 5 months when I finally started going to the doctor. For this one, I found out early so I'm starting to get on medicaid early. The lady I talked to said she could just mail in the proof of pregnancy to both WIC and Job and Family Services. I have to call today (if I ever get through) to start setting myself up for everything.

I still cant think of anything to do for the 9 months, like crafts and hobbies. I was looking into making jewelry...But what I found out was you need all these tools and gadgets to make the jewerly and of course I cant afford it. I tried painting out a few days ago....Lets just say, I'm not meant to be a painter, lol. I looked into scrapbooking, but then I figured I cant really do that either because you need a printer to make all those decorations to put inside..If there isnt any decorations then it'll just be a photo album!! Oh, another reason is we dont really  go anywhere or do anything to take pictures of to make a theme! I was also looking at some places around here that has a pottery class...too expensive. I'm running out of ideas and patience.  My favorite idea was going to a hobby store in Mansfield called Hobby Lobby. They have doll houses already pre cut, all I'd have to do is just put it together and decorate it with furniture and decorate the house with trees and bushes and stuff....BUT once again, too expensive. The cheapest one was $40 and I would still need to buy the little furniture for each room and the outside decorations which are all seperate. Ugh...Hobbies are frustrating when everything costs money I dont have...

I found out I was pregnant with Emma at 3 weeks...it's amazing. We weren't trying to get pregnant and I had no symptoms, I just took a test b/c someone told me I was preggers and I didn't believe them at all since I was on the pill. Anyway, Congrats again.

I'm still trying to find something to pass the time as well!!! I have a 4 year old and yesterday we spent a good portion of the day playing legos... I tried the scrap booking thing, but honestly it's hard to look at pictures of our angel children all day because I feel like she should be sitting next to me :( hopefully you will find something soon to pass the time... have you tried cooking or baking?

LOL OHHH trust me...I tried cooking AND baking...I'm surprised my boyfriend still keeps me!!! I found out that day that stuff that sounds good in your head, doesnt actually mean its really going to taste good LOL. Think of how this sounds, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting..Chocolate and peanut butter, Thought it was going to taste like a reeses cup!!! Erm, no..It might not have been so bad if the bottom of the cake wasnt burned!! I have absolutely no clue why, but everything I put in the oven burns..Even if I take it out early. One time I put brownies in the oven, I took them out early because I like my brownies gooey in the center...But the bottom was still burned! LOL

Here's a relatively cheap hobby.....crocheting/knitting....it comes in handy too for Christmas gifts....LOL I don't knit and I only know ONE crochet stitch, but I have made MANY blankets....heck, you can even sometimes get yarn at the dollar store....back in the day, I had a neighbor (an older retired lady) teach me how..

I agree with Kathy... Knitting and crocheting can take a lot of time, and are actually very rewarding. I knit, not crochet and bought a book and taught myself from the book. Something else I've always wanted to try is woodburning... All you need is the woodburning tool and round disks cut from a tree branch or trunk of a tree...

You should look on craigslist for hobby stuff. Sometimes people will even put stuff up there for free that you could use to create something wonderful. Good luck!
