About Me
Independent, observant, loving, and cheerful. I like perfectly-fitting adjectives. I also fit the "pisces" bill almost perfectly and I kinda like that.

Close Myasthenia Gravis
I was diagnosed with MG after being referred to a neurologist by my PCP. It started out as complete fatigue and exhaustion for 4 weeks straight. No matter how much sleep I got I was always tired. My left eyelid felt heavy and drooped at times. Sometimes my legs would get shaky as if I'd just ran for miles. After lots of bloodwork, the right test was performed and elevated levels of MG antibodies were found. I'm seeing a neuromuscular specialist and on meds now. Feeling better, but not myself.
Treatments
- Mestinon Somewhat Helpful
- I take 60mg in the morning and a "boost" (usually 30mg) whenever I need it during the day. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- Started out taking 10mg, but 20mg was more effective. Taking 30mg now and seems to be the same at 20. Biggest side effect is bloating.
