About Me
Read my entire bio under original board name, "MamasChild". Due to computer issues, I've had to renew membership / rename myself. I joined DS in 2007 shortly after my Mom died - just two months before her 100th birthday. In short, I lost my Dad six months later. My parents were not together. Lived with Mama (my rock) my whole life. During her last years, and while I cared for her my Dad, was declining. Mama needed a feeding tube and lived on it for over a year at home in a hospital bed. Dad broke his hip, and I had to put him in nursing home. Life is very strange. They both had dementia. My parents were not friendly yet in his later years Dad used to ask about my mother. The week of Mama's funeral, I had to okay a feeding tube for Dad. I never told him she had passed away - until six months later - moments after he died. The first words after he passed were, "Daddy, Mama died." It's funny - I can't recall what I said to my mother, if anything, after she died. Just that I knelt at her bedside and said a prayer. I miss my mother so much - two years later - there are no words....It's gotten worse with time. My heart is broken - there's a hole in my life and in my house...Mama's house - and I've been in a serious depression, which has affected my daily life since. Medication not the answer - but knowing Mama & Dad are safe would be.
