    • About Me

I'm a Bachelor's prepared nurse who is hopefully going to be starting graduate school soon. I'm married, no children, my husband and I love to travel. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and live in a quiet rural neighborhood. Although I was raised Catholic, I'm currently only practicing occasionally - much to the dismay of my mother.

    • Close Pre-menstrual Syndrome (PMS)

I have been looking for a PMS support group for years and I am flabbergasted at the lack of them. For such a debilitating problem for so many women, you'd think support would be easy to find. I've tried numerous remedies and like I said above, I believe my PMS could result in the break-up of my marriage if I don't do something about it. I'm hoping I can get some help through this website.

      Treatments

      Oral Contraceptives Not Working
I've tried several different OC's (I'm on Yaz, my 7th OC now) and they seem to make my PMS worse.
      Lexapro Not Working
Again, I've tried several anti-depressants and none seem to work as well as I hope. Plus my libido, which has never been that strong, takes an absolute nose-dive.
      Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
Exercise has many benefits and I seems to sleep better. I can't seem to stick with it, though
    • Close Depression

I have been suffering from depression since childhood. I've been on numerous SSRI's, all of which are helpful for a period of time, then seem to become ineffective. I like to talk about my problem but can't afford to pay out of pocket.

      Treatments

      Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
Wasn't on it long enough to tell if it was working. I don't remember why I stopped it.
      Lexapro Not Working
I have been on Lexapro for a couple of years and don't think it's working anymore. Libido? What is that?
      Paxil Working / Worked
      Libido? What is that?
      Wellbutrin Not Working
      Like taking a sugar pill....
