I'm a Bachelor's prepared nurse who is hopefully going to be starting graduate school soon. I'm married, no children, my husband and I love to travel. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and live in a quiet rural neighborhood. Although I was raised Catholic, I'm currently only practicing occasionally - much to the dismay of my mother.

Support Groups
Close Pre-menstrual Syndrome (PMS)
I have been looking for a PMS support group for years and I am flabbergasted at the lack of them. For such a debilitating problem for so many women, you'd think support would be easy to find. I've tried numerous remedies and like I said above, I believe my PMS could result in the break-up of my marriage if I don't do something about it. I'm hoping I can get some help through this website.
Treatments
- Oral Contraceptives Not Working
- I've tried several different OC's (I'm on Yaz, my 7th OC now) and they seem to make my PMS worse.
- Lexapro Not Working
- Again, I've tried several anti-depressants and none seem to work as well as I hope. Plus my libido, which has never been that strong, takes an absolute nose-dive.
- Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
- Exercise has many benefits and I seems to sleep better. I can't seem to stick with it, though
Close Depression
I have been suffering from depression since childhood. I've been on numerous SSRI's, all of which are helpful for a period of time, then seem to become ineffective. I like to talk about my problem but can't afford to pay out of pocket.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- Wasn't on it long enough to tell if it was working. I don't remember why I stopped it.
- Lexapro Not Working
- I have been on Lexapro for a couple of years and don't think it's working anymore. Libido? What is that?
- Paxil Working / Worked
- Libido? What is that?
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- Like taking a sugar pill....
