I am interested in finding people with Fibromyaga with whom i can gain knowledge of this illness for my sister who is 52 and lives in South Africa. She has just been told she may have Fibromyalga.She suffers from panic attacks and has for the last six months been complaining of soreness in her neck and back and she told me she can hardly move her arms up and suffers from fatigue and general exhaustion. she is a mother of a teenage boy at school and has otherwise no family in South Africa, myself living in the uk.She has to work full time and is at present finding it very difficult to cope. Just recently the symtoms have got worse as discribed.So far her boss has been understanding. the main issue is she is very frightened as to how long these bad periods last. Also she told me she feels burning sensations in her neck and arms.She had a bad panic attack when this recent phase started and i have scoured the web for information on this condition of which i have relayed to her.She is on a antidepressant and also long release tranquillizer.Under any other circumstances i would have told her not to take these drugs and try cognitive therapy, but her panic attacks were severe.She is due to see her rheumatologist soon. I also told her to have a test for Lyme s Disease. this may also be of interest to other people who have Fibromyalga as it is a disease carried by ticks and can mimic the symptoms of Fibromyalga and other related illnesses. this can be detected by a specific blood test, she said she will have this done.But for now i have just the basis that it is Fibromyaga. To put it in a nutshell i would like to contact anyone who has experienced the above symptoms
