I'm 36 years old, married to my best friend. We've been together for almost 10 years. I'm Mum to a beautiful 12 yr old daughter. Born and raised in Sheffield, England, but now residing in Arizona. I am a Mortgage Underwriter, in the business for the past 16 years. Wish I could spend less time at the office and more time at home. I'm an avid knitter and my dream is to open my own yarn shop, design patterns and develop a yarn line. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia approx 4 months ago, after many frustrating years of Doctors not knowing what was wrong with me. Still feeling very frustrated because of my pain levels and lack of support from Doctors. I've been told "You can have more good days than bad", but it hasn't happened for me yet.

Yes, vitamin D can be checked via blood work, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he did that test. You can always call his nurse and ask. Otherwise, you can just buy some vit D supplements 2000-4000 IU is enough per day. See if you feel any better after about 2 months. They are inexpensive, about $5-10 for a bottle.

Hi Claire, I'm so sorry you are in fibro pain! Have you had your vit D levels checked? Hope you get more pain meds soon.

Hi Clairebear! I used to feel that I was hit by a truck and finally broke down and asked my doc for some meds. They have worked for me (Cymbalta, amitriptyline, flexeril, vit D) but I know they dont work for everyone. Just know that you are not alone and we are always here to listen!

I just came across u on the Community Page.. made a Comment , that u didn't even get the Whole Comment........Not sure Why.....I use to live in Arz. 22 yrs ago....Phoenix...lived there for nearly 10 yrs.....been here in Michigan for nearly 20......Wishing for a Pain free Day for Us Both....lol...I asked for one for My Birthday Christmas,, Moms Day..to no avail...lol..So I come here to Ds & Vent...With Others Understanding.....lol...
I also see that you are New to DS......This Site was a Godsend that I found back in 07....I have made some Wonderful Friends here..or gotten some Great advice/information from someone who crossed my path or page i should say..lol... Not to Mention the Pain whines they hear ...:):)
Oh did I mention My Fav Holiday is Halloween...and Month is October..lol.....I celebrate Halloween all month long....lol.. Some of Us share our Days with Pics....and if u like to bake..which may not go good in Summer in Az..lol...but if u do & want to share in some Baking Fun..We have Baking Friday each week....
