I'm 34 been diagnosied with mutliple sclerosis since Oct 2006, I have no children unless you count the husband, I have three fuzzy babies (kitty's) Stinker, Mouser and Coven. I was born and raised in Marshield Wis. and moved to Missouri in 1995.

Interests
I love to watch movies, my favs are cheesy 80's, chick flicks, suspense thrillers. To keep my hands busy, I enjoy jewerly making, and figureing out how to fix things Example: my riding lawn mower was not moving after my brother changed the tire, he then got sick and could not help fix it and like most americans I was broke and could not take to anyone to fix, so I tore apart the rear axle and fixed the metal ring that got bent. It works beautifully now. It takes me longer to do things now with the MS, because I don't want to get over heated, so it took we two days.

Treatments
- Avonex Not Working
- I was on this therapy for almost 3 years and this year I was having like almost non-stop symptoms of dizziness, unbalanced, spastisity, weakness in right leg, so my doc changed me to betaseron.
- Betaseron Too Soon to Tell
- I just started this therapy about 2 months ago, and have only been on full dose for about a week. I have site reactions with every shot with the higher doses. I now wish the Avonex worked for me because you only have to inject once a week, this therapy is every other day. :(
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- With a flare up the oral steriod does not work well for me and gives me thrush. thrush is a yeast infection in your mouth that makes it all white and very sensitive to everything, salt, cold, spice.
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- When I get the solumedrol IV infusion, my boss likes it because it is like I'm on speed, I talk fast and non-stop and I get alot of work done. and I'm not almost sleeping on my desk because of the fatigue. but 2 days later my symptoms seem to come back with a revengence and seem worse that before, then usually after sleeping for 2 days I'm good to go for awhile.
- Apple Cider Vinegar Not Working
- Someone told me to try apple cider vinegar to help the spasticity. I almost got sick and my stomach was not happy with me after that. I only tried once and never again.

- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- physical activity is the key, you have to burn more than what goes in. It did work for me, then I was diagnosied with Multiple Sclerosis after I got drop foot and lost the function of my right hand. I got depressed and stopped everything because I was scared I would make things worse.
- Slim-Fast Working / Worked
- I don't use for weight lose, I like the taste of the chocolate ones and drink as a quick to go need something in my tummy
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- this works if you have the determination and discipline to count your points and journal everything you eat. the support groups are very helpful , but my schedule did not always permit.
