My name is Jennifer. I am 25. I have congenital hydrocephalus. I was born January 31st and weighed 2lbs 2ozs. My biological mother didn't want me so she gave me up to her sister. When her sister adopted me, she had 2 boys ages 9 and 11. They treat me just like their sister. My adopted mom had the church she went to at the times praying for me. I am biracial and they are white. My parents went through a lot with me when I was adopted. GOD is amazing he helped me and my framily throuhg everything. I give him all the credit because I am able to do what I am doing today. I would like to talk to others like me.

I've been pretty good.. Had 6 shunt revisions this year and one drain surgery. This all happened from January to May. I had 4 brain surgeries in January, 1 in March, and 2 in April. I finally went home on May 11th. I'm doing really well now though. Almost got my GED all finished and then I'm going to start CNA classes and then go on to college to get my nursing degree. Life is definitely looking up! How've you been?

- I have had the same wp shunt since I was born. I have only had to have the tubing lengthened.
