So, I talked it over with a friend who I was going to ride with and we'll get dropped off provided we hand over gas money, which is no problem.  Checked all my balances just now and had a LOT more than I thought I did.  Seems lately that things keep looking horrible but then turn right around at the last minute.

We didn't get to go to the haunted house nearby, but I think that was more related to my friend not being able to get an earlier flight.  Just lack of time.

I now know for certain that I won't be getting the costume I had planned out months in advance that was supposed to be custom made.  Trying to figure out some last minute makeshift ideas.

Good part is that we do get to go to the big party we were planning on.  So, I guess even though some things didn't go quite as planned, nothing ever does, right?  If it did, things would probably get a bit boring.

Any ideas for a last minute red and black cat costume would be helpful.  I have ears and was going to do makeup whiskers.  I guess all I need to figure out is something for sleeves or gloves or paws or something along those lines.  I may end up just digging through stuff and mangling things to put something together.  Usually how my outfits work anyway.
