I feel your pain, I too have a baby, she will be one next week, I feel like I have been hit by a bus everyday. I am so depressed, I can't stop gaining weight, (although everyone seems to lose it but me) I have gained 60lbs since the birth. Do your legs feel like the muscles are moving around? It feels like things are crawling under them making them move. I get charlie horses like crazy and I think I am going to do that magnesium test that was mentioned. I totally understand about the not being able to do anythng. I have been on the PTU and Atenolol since July, but I still feel horrible all the time. I have a husband who doesn't understand, I don't know if he even wants to, so I feel a lot of resentment towards him right now and that is putting a strain on everything on top of it.
Sorry I am rambling on, I just feel like I am so alone in this, and your story seemed to relate to mine in so many ways. I hope you get better soon, this truly does suck.

Close Graves' Disease
had been sick for 3 weeks with a high fever, diagnosed with scarlet fever. Anitbiotics did little to help, saw a third dr who order shest xrays and told me my thyroid was a little big - but nothing to do with why I was so sick. Turns out I have pnemonia and Graves disease, with the added bonus of early heart failure.
