Well its been 3 weeks since my dad moved down here to be with me due to the pancreatic cancer. It is rapidly progressing and he is getting worse than i thought. he is grumpy and irritable and yells at nothing. he is starting to get confused , his ankles stay swollen like he has a softball for ankles, his feet are purple on the bottom and all are signs of the end getting near and that is a scary thing. Hospoice has been coming in and they are very helpful and he (my dad) doesn't like them because they are telling him what he doesn't want to hear instead of what he does. but that is alright because they try to accomadate him just fine even with be that stubborn. hospice said it was most likely that he will only make it 2 weeks that before nov 1 he is expected to go9 . well that is it formy update.

Is he still eating? Is he able to be up and about at all? I found with my dad that he came to accept his destiny with a lot more serenity once he was bedridden and couldn't eat any more.
I'm sorry that he is making it hard on you and probably creating mixed feelings in you. My husband is furious all the time as well, but I think it's because he's angry at his fate, anxious about what will happen, and sad about being cut off too young. Think of it as part of the disease and not directed specifically at you.
All the best of strength to you. Lean on hospice and anybody else who can help so that it doesn't all fall on you 24/7.
