Saw the DIL and grand-babies
Well, things are looking up a little today. I spent a couple of hours with my son's wife and daughter last night and again today. She texted me …
I am a mother of 2 grown sons. My youngest is a Navy Hospital Corpsman leaving for Afghanistan in October (took date out for safety) with the Marines 3/4 division. He is headed for the front lines as a First Response Team. This has changed my world in so many ways. I just want it to all feel normal again and have him home safe.

Camping, sailing, walking or hiking, any artistic ventures, beaches, woods....anything quiet right now. You must find the silence within yourself so your soul can sing...Beethoven.

Hope you are doing well, haven't heard from you in quite some time.
Thanks for the info you left about the ombudsman and the website on the "Navy" discussion post. Everyone here has been a great help! I'm already feeling better despite the fact that my husband has yet to do anything about all of this :) I think it would be great to volunteer for somehting like that, though with my illness I need all of the help I can get just to do my daily things around the apartment.
Many prayers to you and your son, and God bless you...

His unit should have an ombudsman, or you can check with a local recruiter they should be able to get you the contact info for the unit. I have the little guys all weekend for soccer and some skating, should be fun. I hope your getting settled, your in my prayers!
Sorry I have been away...all my best to you! I understand deep depression and hopelessness! Hope things improve soon...meet some new people that bring you up. Take care~n
Hope things are going better for you, hang in there and just keep in mind every day down is another day closer to your son getting back!
Most of my family is deceased and I am basically alone in the Dallas area. I have one son that lives here in the area with a 1 yr. old who can't seem to figure life out, and another 21 yr. old son in the Navy with a wife and 1 yr. old daughter who is more mature and responsible and loving than any person I know. He is going to Helmand Province in Afghanistan Oct. 3rd and it has changed my life forever. I am more proud and more frightened than I ever thought I could be. I need support to make it.
