Dx pancreas divisum 2003, ERCP's in excess, stents, sphincterotomy. No success with procedures. I have experienced success since beginning clonidine. I still have episodes, but am able to control them better and stay out of the hospital. Diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) in 2007. Pancreatitis and POTS are both affected by the Autonomic Nervous System. Began taking Amantadine (an anti-viral) in September, 09. I am now pain and symptom free. Keeping my fingers crossed that this protocol continues to be effective.
