Close Ovarian Cancer
Diagnosed with stage 4 ovca in July 2008. Had surgery and 6 carbo/taxo treatments. Had ca 125 of 3220.8 before surgery and have been in normal range for several months. I am strong and active and live each day to the fullest I can. God is with me and the prayers of my friends and family and my own have gotten my through it all so far.
Treatments
- Carboplatin Working / Worked
- Side effects were awful with first treatment,4 days after surgery,but the later ones not as bad. At first I had just about every side effect known to women!!Hair loss was mostly emotional but weight loss and appetite loss,skin problems ,sores in mouth and throat,diarreah,weakness .chills,tiredness,you name it I had it.But thank the Lord so far it has worked!!
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- My first chemo was at the hospital where I had my surgery,(30 miles from home) then the rest were at my local cancer center where the experience has been much better and personal. I love my doctor there and all the nursing staff as well. They have all treated me special, and make me feel loved.
