ok, went in yesterday to have my throat opened . they could only go to 14 cm. said i have to go back a few more times to get it opened all the way.
they gave me a shot of benedryl to help put me to sleep a long with the other drugs.
then i went for chemo, they gave me another shot of benedryl .
man, went to sleep as soon as i got home. woke up with my head spinning like a top.
am not worried about it as i am not going anywhere today. if i do i won't be driving.
dang it. are there any --on the level type---- groups that hand out unexpired drugs to folks who can not afford them?
have some meds i bought but can not take any more. they are all good and will not expire for a while yet.

That sounds like quite an ordeal you had yesterday. I hope the rest you got courtesy of the benadryl was satisfying. Sit down and let your head spin. I hope you have someone dropping by to see how you are doing and to bring you some good soup and TLC.
What a good person you are to be thinking of other people even when you are still coming out of both throat opening and chemo. There are definitely groups that might be able to channel your unneeded medications to those you need them. I recall hearing about something like this for HIV meds and I think the drugs had to go to other countries due to US rules on dispensing drugs.

Oh, I do agree with you about the drug situation. Something about flushing them into our water system for the fish just doesn't seem right, does it?
On the up side - congrats on getting through round 1 and hope round 2 gives good results on the throat.
