I had mild acne as a teenager and it exploded when I went to college. I didn't even realize it was that bad, but one of my best friends - a guy, which made it more crushing - basically told me no one would date me seriously because of my face. After that it got 10 times worse because I was paranoid about it and trying everything. Ever since then I am completely self conscious about my face and hate to go out without makeup on. No boyfriend, always stressed, and hating life most days.
Treatments
- AcneFree Not Working
- Only used the cleanser, but didn't notice a difference.
- Benzaclin Somewhat Helpful
- Seemed to work, but prescription ran out.
- Benzoyl Peroxide Somewhat Helpful
- Kinda works, then stops.
- Proactiv Somewhat Helpful
- Worked for about 6 months, then stopped. Kept waiting for it to start working again. Spent WAY too much money waiting, and ended up with burn marks from the chemicals. The version for sensitive skin did nothing.
- Washing Somewhat Helpful
- Can't find one that keeps working after a few months.
