I have a Type 1 Chiari Malformation, just recently diagnosed and became symptomatic.

Suffer from Crohn's disease, finally under control with Remicade infusions.

Treatments

Asacol Not Working

Was on this a few different times. I never noticed a difference, for better or worse on it.

Azathioprine Somewhat Helpful

I was on this by along with a few other pills for a pile, and it did not work. Then I was on this in combination with Remicade infusions, and that worked very well. Eventually they dropped the azathioprine and just left me on the remicade.

Prednisone Somewhat Helpful

Was on it a few different times. Helped with immediate tummy pain, but the side effects were harsh - especially insomnia and irritability.

Remicade Working / Worked

Finally got my Crohn's under control after a very rough couple of years of flare-ups and trying different medications.
