Good Luck
I agree. It is hard to tell what is a side effect from the Warfarin and what is the result of the PE. I can tell you I have had the same stuff going on. About 2 weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night panting and my pulse was around 135. Sure does the tricks on the brain too raising anxiety levels off the roof! I had a lot of trouble doing any excercises for the first month. Just walking around the house raised my heart rate. Now (2 months later), I am able to walk at a good pace for about 2 miles with my heartrate staying below 100. I guess it just takes time. Also, whenever I increase my activity level, I pay for it the next day with the chest pains and feeling lousy. My INR has been pretty stable with a low of 1.9 and a high of 3.1 once I was therapeutic (about a month now). It took about 4 weeks to get in sink though. Good luck and hope this helps a bit.

Close Pulmonary Embolism
Treatments
- Coumadin Somewhat Helpful
- I am on generic warfarin and my dose is up to 12mg a day. My INR seems to get to 2.2 then drop back down to 1.8. Then they raise my dose. This has been going on for almost 2 months now. The side effects are pretty miserable: dizziness, muscle cramps, gas, nausea, etc.
Close Anxiety
I had a pulmonary embolism earlier this year and have since struggled with anxiety and panic attacks.
Treatments
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- Breathing exercises can help. They can keep things from getting really out of control.
- BuSpar Too Soon to Tell
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- If this stuff weren't addictive and build tolerance, I would probably live on it. I save them for when things get unbearable.
