About Me
My name is Dee. I have Schizoaffective Disorder, bipolar type. I live with my parents. I love horses. I like to study world religions and philosophy. I am a Christian and Jesus is my everything. He sustains me and He is my source of life and strength. And it takes a lot of strength to fight this illness every day. Without Him, I would be dead. I have a good psychiatrist and a great therapist. I am working on cognitive behavior therapy right now and it is helping immensely. Currently, I am on Depakote 2000mg, Prozac 20mg, and Risperdal 3mg. I am fairly happy with my medication cocktail. It is keeping me from the extremes of mood and from hearing the voices. I love going to church and riding horses. I like to take walks at the park with my mom and my dog.

hey hope,its caz,i read your profile and you remind me of my sister.
she too has skitzo affective disorder and bipolar.
she takes welbutrin,seroxat,lithium,xanax.she has had it bad but my doc is helping her.
she isolated herself for about four years inside.inbed.
she has endomitriosis too like me and struggles to make it through each day.
im trying to get her to join us for support.she needs it alot.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar type in 2007. Looking to be supported and to support others.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- Didn't help me at all.
- Celexa Working / Worked
- Worked for awhile, but quit.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- I'm taking 2000mg/day and it is working very well.
- Haldol Working / Worked
- Worked great for a year. Considering going back on this.
- Risperdal Too Soon to Tell
- Just got put on 3mg. Too soon to tell if it is working or not.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Worked great at putting me to sleep, but made me a zombie during the day.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- I am on 20mg and it is helping with my depression.
Close Self-Injury
I started cutting when I was fourteen. I am now twenty-one and I have been free from self-injury for four months. Looking for support and to support others.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Cognitive Behavior Therapy is working very well for me.
