Well...recently diagnosed with HCV, but only after living the past 25 odd years in ignorant bliss. At that once upon a time I was told I had Hepatitis "non-a, non-b". That was kind of it - now I know. Viral load is at 5, 510, 000, type 1a. :~( Next step is to find a hepatologist & go from there I guess.

Hi Jazey,
I didn't realize you are in the Portland area. Me too! OHSU has wonderful doctors. I go there for all medical things. Ken Ingram is a Physicians Asst., but he is managing my treatment. The head doctor, I can't remember his name, is very popular and does a lot of research. Go to OHSU.edu and then click on hepatology/digestive health and it will list all of the hepatologist. There office is located at the new building down the hill where the tram goes. Sorry I am bad with street names. I find everyone up at this clinic to be compassionate. hi gal. cant recommend you a dr but i can say hi and welcome. the chatboard right now is filled up with adolescent drivel because of one or two guys who duplicate profiles and essentially reak hovoc on the board. damn shame. dont let them discourage you this is a really great hcv site with many many great people.
