Close Panic Attacks
I've been suffering from panic attacks for four years now and I think they've gotten under control but it's still very difficult to deal with. I feel like I have no one to really support me, so I thought I'd try this site.
Treatments
- Ativan Not Working
- I was prescribed this when I first came down with panic attacks and I found it completely unhelpful. I hate feeling so loopy and drugged up, and they had me taking so much that I was worried I'd become dependent.
- Paxil Working / Worked
- I hate taking this, but I'm currently on this today and it has worked. I just hate the feeling that I'm chained to this medicine.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Out of everything I've tried I think without a doubt therapy is the most helpful. I used to think that therapy was for people way more screwed up than me, but I've been going to my college counselor for the past few months and it's been very helpful.
- Music Therapy Working / Worked
- Music, combined with therapy, is one of the best things I can recommend for people who have panic disorders.
