About Me
I am over 60 and have worked as an RN 20 plus years. I started having body pain that would change the past 10 years. Have had plantar fasciatis and tarsal tunnel syndrom for the last 8 years. Left hip and leg pain for the past 4 years. Fatigue seems to get me and I have to limit my activities for all the above reasons. My current health practioner whom I have been seeing for the past 3 years as suggested that I may have fibromyalgia and now is just saying that I do have that condition. I have taken Cymbalta for the past year which helped but I have stopped taking it as the side affects were becoming intolerable and my pain had gradually come back. I am now seeking more information and treatment options.

Close Fibromyalgia
Have had body pain for the past 10 years and since last year my health practioner suggested that I could have fibromyalgia. I have foot problems that limit my working , so I work 3 days a week , as I am on my feet at work. My left leg aches and goes down the outer part of my leg. Neck is very stiff. I have been on Cymbalta for the last year and stopped taking it due to side affects and pain has come back over the past 6 months. I am seeking other ways to deal with this condition. I tend to over do , I think and then become fatigued so I try to limit my activities . I get massage and try to remain as active as possible. I do not walk my dog any more as that seems to make me worse, I think mainly my feet start hurting. I have just found a new podiatrist that seems to be able to really understand how painful my feet are. He has given me new hope for less pain.
