    • About Me

I'm a Virgo. I earned my Masters Degree in Theatre Arts and love theatre history and stage management. I was diagnosed in 2008 and have recently moved to Michigan. I was raised in Cincinnati by my dad. My mom also had MS so I'm familiar with it. I live with Peter, who I've been with since 2001 and my cat. I enjoy sewing, playing cards, reading, and being with my family and friends. I'm pretty easy to talk to and I think that I'm a good listener.

    • Close Depression

I was diagnosed with MS in 2008. The legions are in the emotional sector of my brain. I have uncontrollable crying and it interferes with my life regularly and its overwhelming. I need help.

      Treatments

      Cymbalta Working / Worked
It makes me tired but any stress renders it useless and I need Lorezapam to take the edge off.
      Meditation Working / Worked
I try to meditate and think of positive things to focus on. I did find that it was difficult to stay in that meditiative mood when the craziness of life kicks in.
Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
Undeniably the most important treatment. My family and friends are how I'm able to function with everything.
    • Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
      Type: Relapsing-remitting MS

      I was diagnosed in 2008.

      Treatments

      Baclofen Working / Worked
I had major spasms and this helped keep them under controll.
      Rebif Working / Worked
I have to say it was hard to get on in the first place. But the MRIs since I've been on it haven't shown any progression so I think its working. The injections are painful despite different tricks to make it easier. I also feel like I have the flu 24-7. My body temp rises noticeably. But its better than the alternative of doing nothing. As long as the MRIs are good I won't be switching.
