About Me
I am the eldest child and son of my beloved Mother Elaine Pecot, who made her transition just yesterday, Sunday, August 23, 2009. My mother was a soulful, magnanimous, angelic being who embodied the best of our African American culture, and taught and infused her five children with the most unconditional love, and embraced all people and cultures as world traveler, and multi-ethnic brood of grand/great children. She was truly a Mother, Sister and Dear Friend to all who came into the sphere of her influence. She birthed me when just 16 yrs old, and we both faced a mortal challenge during the 36-hour labor process. My father was posited with a difficult choice – the mother or the child. Life made the choice to have us both emerge relatively unscathed from the experience. 53 years young, I am now the father of seven incredible daughters, with my wife of 36 years. Stanford, Harvard, UC Berkeley, East Bay University, Hastings Law, Barnard, they’re out there doing it. I am a entrepreneur presently focused in the fields of remodeling/construction, real estate investment, educational product/services marketing, and self-care health practices and nutraceuticals.

Type: Loss of a ParentMy beloved Mother made her transition just yesterday, August 23, 2009. Sudden, unexpected given that she was hospitalized August 11. I arrived at ICU just min. after her transition. It feels as if the very heart of our family has left, at least its physicality. And that's the main thing: I cannot locate her. My mind, heart and body goes into a search mode; she's not here. Yet I sense that her essence, spirit and love are present, but my hands cannot touch them; my arms can't hold her.
