I have been out of town at a race where 20 inches of rain fell in just a few days ... no, not the Phillipines ... where everyone buckled down and made the best of things and kept smiling, and took the time to look after one another.   I am convinced that the most underrated medical treatment in the world is a human being to really look at us and care if we live or die. I have had people tell me that the card I sent or the kind words were the only one they received, which is a sad commentary. I suppose its safer to bawl in the street over Michael Jackson because its a cinch that there will never be any follow-up.
