About Me
I graduated from Vanderbilt University in May, and just started my first job. I have always been incredibly involved with music. I did professional musical theatre as a child, went to international arts camp for voice, and was in an a cappella group in college. I also love to run and have been doing so every day for the past 4 years because it seems to alleviate the symptoms of IC and IBS. I also love to read.

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I have been suffering from stomach pain and discomfort since high school. I had gallstones 2 years ago and was diagnosed with IBS. Over the years my symtpoms worsened and I began to skip classes and skip out on plans with friends. If I wanted to go out with friends on the weekends I wouldn't eat all day to make sure I didn't have a flare up. Finally after seeing dr after dr and having every test possible, my doctor suggested i go to a urogynecolorigst. I was diagnosed with IC 2 months ago.
Treatments
- Bladder Instillation Too Soon to Tell
- The rescue instillations relieved discomfort for a few days, but by the end of the week I was experiencing discomfort and pain again. I just started DMSO instillations and I am not sure yet if it is helping.
- Elmiron Too Soon to Tell
- Pyridium Somewhat Helpful
- I only use this when needed because I rarely have that burning sensation, but when I do, the pyridium helps a lot.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- My doctor put me on this to help alleviate stress and pain. I think it has definitely helped.
Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I have been suffering from IBS for over 5 years.

- Levsin Somewhat Helpful
