Close Back Pain
I have 2 herniated disks (L4/L5). Have been out of work since the 1st week of august of this year. My plan was 2 get into the Phys.Therapy Asst. Prgm at school, now with my back like this I can't. So now I am limited 2 only liftin no more than 20 lbs EVER, which limits me so much. I need 2 work, but, my whole world changed in a month (seems like). Still waitin on paperwork from doc 2 apply for at least short term disability. I was paying for long term and short term all this time at work, where I worked for over 8 yrs. I am scheduled for a 2nd round of shots on fri. Meanwhile, I don't know wut career I can safely get into. Need advice bad as well as a paycheck. -g .
Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- For a while, but I get depressed and pain is still felt.
- Darvon Not Working
- Epidural Injection Working / Worked
- At first it did, but never completely. Lately, it feels like I've been having new pain. Shots wearing off,I guess.
- Heat Working / Worked
- It provided minimal comfort, but not really.
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Relaxation Working / Worked
- Been active all my life,so, this just gets depressing as time goes on.
- Stretching Working / Worked
- Painful after and during. Trying to increase a little everyday.
Close Diets & Weight Maintenance
I am about 30-35 lbs overweight and now taking phentermine 30mg. This is my 1st refill. I have always yoyo'd w my wt and hve taken both phen 30 and 35mg in the past. Now I need 2 lose weight more than ever, since I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back. Goin for 2nd rnd of epidural shots this fri.

- Luv it and was gettin really into it again when my back probs came up.
