Just checking in to see how you are doing and send a hug! We took my son off Adderall and Clonidine. He has been on them since he was 5. He really seems to be doing much better. Going to try Straterra. He had a bad accident last week but is doing great, Thank God! But a real scare. How is your son doing? Hope things are better. Take care!

Close Adoption
My husband and I adopted two boys about 5 yrs ago from the foster system. Our now 9 yr. old has ajusted just fine but our 12 yr old has not.
Close Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
My 12 year old son has ODD and it seems to be getting worse as he gets older.
Treatments
- Child Time-out Working / Worked
- I have found that removing him from the situation works well
- Focalin Working / Worked
- we had noticed a great improvement in Chris when he was on the Focalin.
Open Depression in Children
My 12 yr old son has been diagnoses with severe depression.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I feel we are to the point where weekly therapy is not enough.
- Risperdal Somewhat Helpful
- I am still not real sure how I feel about the Risperdal, there are days when he is worse than he was before he started taking it.
Open Parenting Toddlers (1-3)
I have 4 children my youngest is 18 mos and she is just the light of my life.
