About Me
I am suffering from chronic back pain due to 2 back operations performed within 6 months of each other in 2005. One to correct the first. As a result of these operations, I have lost alot . I suffer in pain on a daily basis. But I try to keep going for my kids sake. I have lost all of my friends and have become quite lonely. . I am off all prescribed pain meds., I have had too many adverse reactions to them, so I really am stuck.

I am finding it hard to deal with the depression that sneaks in. you walk around in pain, popping and clicking and people staring like your strange. but the crazy doctors and insurance people .....UUURRRGGGHHH!!!

Close Back Pain
Hi, I am here for support. In 2005, I underwent major back operations that have left me in chronic pain. Coupled with other medical conditions I am a mess. I am off all pain meds. right now due to a drug interaction. Was in a coma,Lost all my friends, my husband and grown children cant cope with me. No one understands. I live on Motrin. I used to be happy, now I am sad everyday. need to be able to talk to others with same pain.
Treatments
- Bedrest Somewhat Helpful
- to a point, but then your muscles stiffen up.
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- I had a major reconstruction of my back so there is very little my chiropractor can adjust that is not locked by a fusion
- Fentanyl Not Working
- This medication sent me to the hospital twice, I alsmost died from it.
- Flexeril Too Soon to Tell
- on it now very low dose, so far it is not working
- Heat Working / Worked
- only thing that works for here
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- it worked, but built up a tolerence to it
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- motrin only seems to take the edge off
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- certain exercises helped

- Only for a brief time maybe a half hour on my neck

Open Arthritis
just found out I have arthritis in addition to chronic backpain from two operations. I am here for support and to learn about arthritis and what to expect.

- MSM Working / Worked
- have been taking that ever seen my 2nd back operation, I believe it helped my incision heal
