Close Fibromyalgia
I have fibromyalgia, and have had for many yrs before Dx. I am in 7th week on Savella (Ixel here in Europe).
Treatments
- 5-HTP Working / Worked
- Good until i took it at the same time as Zoloft.... i didn't know about serotonin syndrome. Don't want to go there again! But apart from that it did help.
- Acupuncture Not Working
- I think my doc wasn't very good at it. Needles hurt in place. I didn't stick with it (no pun intended).
- Neurontin Not Working
- I was started on 100mg 3x/day and that was a BAD thing. Side effects were drunken feeling and after dose was lowered, still affected my judgement. I almost lost my job over a choice I made in work. TITRATE onto this med if you use it.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Worked for a while, but I started Savella so had to stop because of tendency for serotonin syndrome
