Hi Lon, Thanks for your support. Are you being treated via NHS or privately and what exactly do the medical professionals suggest you should do about your condition. Contact me privately on copaview@yahoo.com for more detailed chat. bentleyfox.

Hi Lon, Yes the meds help with the pain, but don't work all day at present. I am juggling achieving adequate control with no side effects. They do not help the tinnitus though. There are times when it all gets me down.

Dear Lon, I have a similar condition- tinnitus and whole body neuropathic pain. Ima being treated with Lyrica ( gabapentin) which is helping the pain, but not the tinnitus although I am convinced the two are related. I suggest you investigate Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. You may get it via your local NHS tinnitus support, but if not then contact the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Centre in London ( www.tinnitus.org) . You could also contact www.ti-ex.com which might help you too. After inital diagnosis the worst thing is the fear it brings that you have this for life and there is no cure. At present that is tru but 90% of people learn to live with it or 'habituate'.TRT takes the fear out nad provides a quicker route to habituation. Keep in touch -we all need support!
