    • About Me

44 year old painter in the film industry. I have 2 young kids and a wife, we have a good life albeit somewhat stressful. I am a mountainbike rider and we live just off the ocean and mountains. We are pretty active when time permits. I had a small stroke or TIA june 17 2009. I am currently on Warfarin and Diltiazem, and wish to undo this mess.

    • Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)

I had a stroke June 17, and later learned I also have atrial fibrillation. I'm 44 and pretty healthy and athletic and I am trying to figure out how to correct or treat it.

      Treatments

      Coumadin Working / Worked
I'm on it, and can't tell if what I'm experiencing has anything to do with it. I feel tight chested, slightly short of breath, and sometimes feel some pains around my heart. My doctor says I'm hyper-sensitive now to any feelings in my heart area.
      Diltiazem Working / Worked
I only take it when I go into Afib and must work hard or exercise. My doctor said that my stress test showed I had a high heartrate in afib while doing very minimal activity. Can't say I recognize side effects other than becoming slower and slightly dazed.
