  Wow! 18 with CML I thought I was young. I was 26 when I was diagnosis. I am truely sorry for all of the losses you have experience to the big C but I like to put a positive spin on it. I like to say because I am young with a usually older persons cancer I guess I am special. I dont know just helps me a bit. I could not begin to imagine if my child had it. Good luck with his treatment. Stay positive for him.
