Hi my name is Richard. I am 52 years old and was diagnosed with hep c about three years ago.I have been a drug addict for most of my life. I started using at a very young age(13 years old) and somewheres along the way I contaced hep c. I have been clean for four yearsand loving it . If not for this hep c haunting me like a ghost in the wind I would be free as the breeze. Since being clean I have realized that Ive missed a lot and want to find the joys of living a life drug free for many years to come.I will be starting treatment in September and for the first time in my life I am more afraid than ever. Even more afraid than I have ever been in my addiction. Iwant this treatment to work and am afraid that the side effects will not allow me to do so(interferon and ribavirin.)I pray that the good lord will give me the strength to see it through. For all the others out there that are going through this treatment, i hope that they will also find the strength. My heart is with you all.
