Angel, I am honored to be your friend!
I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers when you go to see the fertility doctor. Although its been many years I clearly remember the anxiety I felt while trying to get pregnant and go through infertility treatment. Why it took us 7 years to decide to adopt I will never know. I guess we were just naive. We were truly blessed when our daughter arrived from Korea on April 20, 1988. On October 3, 1989 we were blessed again when I gave birth to our son. We are extremely lucky to have been able to build our family both ways. I think if I had given birth first I may have missed out on the adoption experience. My life is so much richer having adopted. I truly know that Ally was meant to be our daughter, she just came to us in an alternate way. Anyway, the FACE group was extremely helpful to us when going through the process and for many years after.
I was looking through the Adoption group out of curiosity. The support group I have been using is Pulmonary Embolism. You can read my profile there. Hope to keep in touch and hear how things are going. Oh! I am also a baby person like you are. I owned and directed a 50 child preschool and daycare for 12 yearsand loved every minute. My husband teases me that the way I love babies someone is going to think I am crazy. Since my kids are 21 and 20 I hope to be a grandmother in the not too distant future. (Maybe 3 or 4 years?) Have to finish college first.
Take Care,
Mary Lou
Thanks so much!
Hello new friend. Hoping all goes well and that you are granted your BFP very very soon.
I am 34 years old and have always wanted to have at least one child.
We want to have a family and adoption may be an option for us.
I am visually impaired and my boyfriend is blind. We would love to talk to other couples who want a family or who have a family.
