Hi! I'm Hannah. My screenname is my name in Welsh, thanks to my anam cara. I've had cancer twice, Ewing's Sarcoma and Secondary AML from chemo for the Ewing's. I have a very random and odd sense of humor, and will undoubtedly break out into "That's what she said!" jokes. I also find great humor in the great Disney innuendos. My friends are what keep me real. I care much more for them then for myself, and will drop anything if they need me. Hmm. Add me, I guess. I don't bite, unless you ask me to. I'm always open to listening to someone rant, as long as you'll return the favor. xo. Hannah

Interests
I love to read, write, listen to music, and goofing off with my friends, both on and off the computer. Photography also is something I'm into. I love debating, and am very liberal. Government interests me a great deal, as does civil rights. Writing is really my main hobby, and love, but I'm planning on going into Pediatric Oncology Nursing as soon as I'm out of high school.

Close Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
Stage: M4I was diagnosed with Secondary AML when I was twelve.
Treatments
- Bone Marrow Transplant Working / Worked
- It's worked so far. January 5th will be my three year anniversary of my bone marrow transplant, and I've been cancer free since 1/5/07. The side effects were horrible though. I felt like utter crap every day for at least two months, and that was when I was lucid.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- It kind of worked... Most of the leukemic cells were wiped out, but a biopsy of the bone showed that there was still leukemia in the actual marrow. There was a lot of puking from the chemo, as usual.
Close Bone Marrow Transplant
I had a bone marrow transplant when I was twelve for treatment for Secondary AML.

- It was fine, really. I just couldn't go anywhere because my immune system was suppressed.

- I get lost in my characters, and they make me feel not as lonely. As sad as it is, some of my characters are my best friends.

- Somehow, everything I did would always remind me of them.

- It worked. It shrunk my tumor. But it made me more susceptible to skin cancer, and hurt my throat.

- Lots of nausea jaw pain but it worked.

I have a lot of stress, which is maximized by depression.

- I love my therapist, she helps me out so much.

I have depression that started when I was in fourth grade.

- I'm not on this anymore, and it didn't work at all.

- I blast music whenever I'm upset, and sing at the top of my lungs, dancing around.

- Prozac Working / Worked
- This has helped SO MUCH. You have no idea how much, really.

- I love my therapist, and I always feel a lot better after I talk with her.
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- I used this to help me sleep. I'm not taking it during the summer, which has affected my sleeping patterns quite a bit, but I'm hoping that my doctor will let me back on them. Soon.
