Close Diabetes Type 1
I've been insulin dependent since I was 14. For the past 8 years I've been in poor control and am hoping that with the aid of actual health insurance I'll be able to get on the right track.
Treatments
- Diabetic Diet Working / Worked
- Humalog Working / Worked
- Insulin (Regular and NPH) Working / Worked
- The one thing I didn't like was the scheduled times for eating. Really made it hard as a teenager to accomodate.
- Insulin Pump Considering
- Lantus Working / Worked
- Before switichiing to Levemir I used Lantus. It worked great. The reason I switched was the possible weight loss benefit of the Levemir.

Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionCurrently fighting some major issues and am hoping talking/reading/sharing will help.

- Used several years ago and after losing health insurance I no longer took it.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- I've been to several conselors some of which have been very helpful, some not at all.
- Support from Friends & Family Not Working
- I have very little support. Family is distant and isn't sure how to help (I think) and none of my friends (all 2 of them) know fully what is going on.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- First med I took when first "diagnosed" at 13.
