      I was diagnosed two years ago with COPD. When the doctor told me the news I was stunned and didn't hear anything else she said. I just thought to myself, " Oh my God, you have it! " I watched my dad die of COPD so I have no illusions of what awaits me in my future. My latest FEV1 is 39%. I am still working for now. I am a diesel tech and work on city transit buses.
