I JUST WANTED TO LET Y'ALL KNOW I AM DYING FOR A CIGARETTE, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG THIS WANT STAYS WITH YOU.CAUSE I DON'T WANT THIS WANT ANY LONGER.
DOES AANYONE HAVE A CLUE HOW LONG THIS WANT STICKS AROUND, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THESE URGES TO GO AWAY.?LOVE Y'ALL TRISH

My dad has been smoke free for more than 40 years and he still sometimes thinks he wants a cigarette. It's a constant battle, easier for some than for others. You just hve to live it one day at a time and know that you are doing somwthing good and right for yourself. Hang in their Trish, you can do it!

I think that once you are a smoker the instinct never goes away...the urge gets better with time...but Trish you can do this because I'm going to need you in a few weeks when it is my turn...hang in there...praying for you always...hugs

Depending upon the person. Most people it takes a year. Some say longer. Just do a lot of praying and keep offering your sacrifice up to God. Take one day at a time and count the days free down. I always use my calendar as a way to measure time and length and will power. And how long I have gone. It is a constant battle. Keep working at it. And stay great full and thankful. I know the longer I go the harder it becomes for me. Don't know why that is. But it is a constant battle, but one that is surely worth the grief.
